Delegate Assembly 2020

Hello dear delegates - members of our ABB Betriebssport eV

We successfully held the first digital delegates' meeting, all in all it was the fourth delegates' meeting of our still young association, on Saturday, April 4th.

At this point, a big thank you to the representatives of the locations / sports groups, so that we had a great meeting on Saturday thanks to your participation.

A total of 1085 out of 1201 members were represented by the participating delegates on April 4th. This corresponds to a rate of 90%.

Since all formal points were observed, decisions could be made accordingly.

We discussed many points, because the journey through time of about 2 years with the framework "What have we achieved - what are our plans?" is very comprehensive. Overall, the atmosphere in the club is very positive. The development of our association in the first two years was continued successfully and expanding in the third full year of 2019.

In addition to the stable operation of the well-known sports at the sports facilities, smaller new sports groups were tested and formed again in 2019 and we are particularly proud of the expansion of our close cooperation with Lebenshilfe, company health management and other partners.

Due to the situation in the world and for us here in Germany due to the Corona crisis, we have also made or had to make decisions.

We will no longer plan and hold the planned sports festival in 2020.

We want to use the time during the Corona crisis to start planning a big sports festival in 2021 and coordinate it with everyone involved very early on.

This is particularly the case with regard to the transfer of ABB Power Grids Germany AG to Hitachi on July 1, 2020. Accordingly, it was proposed and decided to expand the advisory board of our association by two members from ABB Power Grids Germany.

Furthermore, our goals have been confirmed for 2020/2021

- Integrate ALL locations of ABB AG and ABB Power Grids Germany AG into the ABB Betriebssport eV

- Strengthening and stabilization of the existing good divisions

- Communicate all sports events via ABB Betriebssport eV

- Financial support of existing and new sports / participation in sporting events

- Improve physical and mental fitness together with ABB & PG BGM (occupational health management).

Let's continue to develop the club together so intensively.
